The long and bitter winter has finally relented and Springtime has decorated Nashville with all her resplendent glory! Bright colorful flowers fill the trees and bushes while birds rejoice and chipmunks scamper. This is easily my favorite time of year!
I have always drawn inspiration from nature and Nashville is the perfect place to take it all in.
Tucked amid the bustling city there is a bounty of beautiful parks full of blossoming Springtime. It's a time for friends and family as we gather for cook-outs, hikes, canoeing, and parties. Everything is full of life and joy! I love to design jewelry that reminds me of these halcyon days and humid nights spent out on the patio with friends. Bringing the vibrant yet delicate colors of nature to my jewelry is a passion for me. The sparkle of dew on petals, the stunning flowers set amid verdant lushness, brightly hued birds flitting among crystal blue skies, there is an endless amount of of beauty to witness.
I try to marry utility with aesthetic and keep my summer-time jewelry lightweight, easy to wear, and hassle-free. I pushed the envelope this season creating a bikini necklace made of one of my favorite semi precious stones, Pyrite. The stones are tiny and delicately wire-wrapped in vermeil clinging to the body but moving with it like a lover’s dance. I created extra long chain earrings dripping with beads that ever so slightly brush at the neck as side swept hair is Summer’s sexiest look. The doublet-strand anklet anchors the look to go with all the sexy summer shoes for late-night dancing.
Hopefully this season's collection will reflect the love I have for the raw colors and textures of this peaceful time of year. In this round of Southern heat and humidity I will be wearing my slinky jewelry and very little else!
